Right around this time last year, 10 week old Hudson began to sleep through the night. It was a beautiful thing. This milestone subsequently led to Carson and I feeling like we could do anything! So, we sent an Evite out for our 6th Annual Christmas Party. Two days later, we canceled. Having a two month old and hosting a party just don't mix! Well, to make up for the lack of said party last year, we decided to make the party bigger and better this year! Usually the only birthday boy we are celebrate is Jesus, but he was gracious enough to share his birthday party with Carson this year - Jesus is awesome like that. The plan was to have the party outside, complete with fire pit, yard games, Christmas lights, a hot chocolate bar and an awesome playlist that would have everyone dancing to keep warm. Yep, that didn't happen (those Speights and their lofty ideas!)....the frigid temps and a visit from the Police (funny story!) kept that dream from becoming reality. So, the party moved inside and it was GREAT! We all stayed warm and out of jail and both Carson and Jesus felt very special and loved. The night was a success! Thank you to all of our sweet family and friends who were able to celebrate with us! We love y'all and look forward to celebrating the season with you every year!!
