Not only did we get to spend time celebrating Carson this weekend but we also had a fun time celebrating the other fantastic fathers in our lives! On Saturday, Carson and his Dad went to Aviator Brewery in Fuquay-Varina for a tour and a sampling of some local brew. Meanwhile, Carson's Mom and sister, Katherine came over to the house to ge some QT with the little man. The boys came back and joined us for dinner and dessert. We had so much fun hearing stories about Katherine and Carson growing up and some of the fun things we might have to look forward to with Hudson in the coming years...
My Dad and Mom were at the beach this weekend but stopped over for dessert Sunday evening on their way home. Those two surprised Carson with a pretty awesome Father's Day gift...a gas grill! We got one as a wedding gift and used it so much it fell apart! It was a good thing in that it gave Carson an excuse to learn how to charcoal grill well and that he did! It will be so nice to have a more efficient way of grilling things again, however. Man, have I mentioned how lucky I am that Carson hobbies are so delicious?!
