13 months....
So, the other day I was at lunch with a friend of mine who has a young baby. Her baby sat quietly sleeping in his carseat. Not a peep. She was able to eat her sandwhich (the whole thing) and verbally communicate two consecutive thoughts without as much as a pause. On the other side of the table, I sat fantically tearing bite sized pieces of cheese for my very hungry and vocal baby - bless his little toddler heart. He was throwing his food off the table, reaching for my lunch and squealing at the top of his lungs. It feels like just yesterday, I was sitting on the other side of the table with the quiet (for the most part!) baby in the carseat. It hit me at that point, that we officially have a toddler and we are in for a ride!
I think it's safe to say, the tables have turned!
I absolutely LOVE this age! Yes, Hudson is busy. He's into EVERYTHING and bumps his head about 30 times a day. The tantrums are becoming more intense and are happening more often, but he is sooo much FUN and is sooo stinkn' cute. He has such a sweet personality and it has been so neat to watch as his sense of humor develops. Hudson thinks he's pretty funny. He often will do something silly and then give you this look as if to say, "aren't you going to laugh at how hilarious I am?!".
At 13 months, Hudson...
-loves to DANCE!
-points to everything and wants to know what "it" is
-walks holding onto one hand
-can cruise a room holding onto the walls
-loves to be tickled!
-is starting to become more interested in food than milk
-wears 12-18 month clothes
-eats three meals a day and drinks three 7-8 oz. bottles of whole milk with each meal
-has a later bedtime...he sleeps from 8pm-7:30am
-loves to play "chase"
-thinks Daddy is hysterical
-might be trying to go to one nap...eek
-is climbing!
-"talks" non-stop
-has started calling Lilly, do-do...
-loves pushing the kitchen chairs all around the house

| As busy as Hudson is, he still loves to snuggle and read books! Thank goodness!!! Time for bed! |
I thought of you while washing off Henry's busy hands that had found their way into the trash can this morning and playing with the empty egg carton...raced to wash his hands...and he was laughing the whole time at the water running through his hands! Our lives sound very similar these days! :)
